Calling All Innovators....
Calling all Innovators...

Innovator10
Wednesday 3rd March 2010
Leeds City Museum
Innovator/10, the third Yorkshire and Humber Innovation Awards has been established by Yorkshire Forward to celebrate innovative organisations that are based, or have a major presence in the region. In today's global economy, the ability to innovate can determine the success or growth of a business or of a region, or a country. Of all the triggers for success, the ability to innovate is perhaps the most critical, and therefore the biggest challenge.
Innovator/10 celebrates the outstanding achievements in Innovation and creativity in the region. This year's winners will receive a cash prize of £3,000 to invest in development or research that will enable their business to further enhance their innovative progress.
This year's awards categories include:
Young Innovative Business Award
For Young businesses that have demonstrated creativity and entrepreneurial flair in the launch and early growth of a business. Success must be based on innovative products, processes or services that have a track record of early commercial success and have potential for further growth and expansion in turnover, profits and employees.
Innovation in Action Award
For an innovative new product, process or service developed in the region, which represents a significant advancement for their industry or sector and which offers outstanding opportunities for future commercial success.
Lord Stafford – Partners in Innovation Award
The Innovator/10 Awards and the Lord Stafford Awards, based in the West Midlands, have joined together to celebrate businesses that have collaborated with the research community through the Partners in Innovation Award for Yorkshire and Humber, in the hope to raise the importance of knowledge transfer partnerships on a regional and national scale. The partnership must be based on a defined project which resulted in the successful development of an innovation with potential to deliver significantly improved business performance and commercial success.
Sustainable Innovation Award
For businesses who have made outstanding advances in environmental sustainability through the development and marketing of innovative products, processes and services. The award can also recognise organisations that have introduced innovative management if natural, manufactured and human resources, for the long-term benefit of their staff, shareholders, customers, suppliers, the wider community and the environment.
To apply online or for further information visit http://www.innovator10.com/. All applications must be submitted no later than 17.00 on Wednesday 2nd December 2009.
